  1. most of the people I know who go to japan go to Oita in kyushu. I am not exactly sure why, they are university students.

  2. Miyagi-ken. That's where my family lives. It's beautiful year round, so I'm lucky they live there.

  3. Hyogo. I lived in Kobe. It is a very convenient place to live and work. You can easily visit Osaka, Himeji, Nara, Kyoto, Ise, Wakayama etc.

Kobe is a big city with lots of great food and is a pretty diverse place for Japan.

As a tourist I think the most time I spent was in Kyoto though just because I love visiting Temples, and Shrines and Kyoto has hundreds of them.

  4. Niigata

My homestay family lived there, and we rarely left during the time I was with them. I was able to attend Niigata Commerical High School, and all of the kids were so nice to me and my group of 10 American kids...its a wonderful prefecture, you should visit there sometime!

  5. Gifu--the heart of Japan!

  6. Fukui Prefecture. It was were I was assigned on the JET Programme. I love it here, my husband works here and my daughter goes to nursery school here. I have no intentions to move on even once my contract is ended.

  7. Osaka, that's where I lived and worked.

  8. Kanagawa Pref. I grew up in Yokohama.
