  2. Well, Wyatt, this may not be your best venue for what you seek, though there are some folks about who fit the bill. If you need more, I'd try:

    Radio-Info.com

    or

    www.440int.com

If you're already aware of them, you're a lucky man.

There are also amazing amounts of stuff that comes up when you search your favorite engine with these sorts of requests.

As for me, my collection is humble, yet self-centered. 90% me - and not that interesting - I guarantee you. I have boxes of it. We called them... cassettes. ;<)

Sooner or later, Gearbox will probably see this and answer some of your more technical questions.

  3. Many years ago,not sure if you know him Jimmy Savile use to do a radio show called saviles travels it was before my time and i heard the show online(old recording) and started copying that using win amp with sound master take two and roxi to burn to disc.

i have also from flea markets bought audio cassettete recordings of some of the shows to add to my own tape collection

when i was younger i use to have a old casset recorder and would sit in my bedroom with the radio next to the built in mic on the tape recorder to record songs from viking radio (funny days i would it in silence lol so not to make a noise on my records)96.9FM (link below)

    http://www.vikingfm.co.uk/

i still have my tapes i recorded all those years ago

these days i use audio galaxy (see the below link) and save onto the hard drive of this thing records and again use roxi to burn to CD ROM.

i listen to the planet a lot on sky radio and having sky plus sometimes record direct onto the hard drive of the sky box the show if some thing comes up and i have to miss it

other then that i do not record the radio or records any more

The stereo in the living room is hooked up into the PC via a audio in put lead using win TV haggar card so i can record the radio or even the TV direct onto this thing but never really bother

    kind regards x Kitti x

  7. Hate to bust Duh's bubble but most of my recording in the past has been a cassette recorder hooked to a radio or the speaker output of my computer streaming stations from outside my area (such as I taped 3 hours of a rock station in Canada as I wanted to see how it compared to the US)

But there are programs out there for recording webstreams and for recording mp3s .. those programs, the good ones usually cost but there are one or two free ones, I've heard people feed a webstream into the program to record out as a mp3 , or like most on the radio-info.com and radioinsight.com's aircheck forums, use a radio hooked to the mic input of their computer and record using a program (as recording as a .wav will eat hard drive in a complete hurray)
