Go to some place you've never been and none of the guests have ever been either. How old are you? What kind of experience are you looking to have at the restaurant? Like a cool, hip vibe or boho, or chic? Do you want there to be dancing? These are things to consider when dining out. Go to Cheeseburger In Paradise in Leawood... its a fun place and NOT childish in any way!

They have the coolest drinks and they make animals with sunglasses out of fruit to stick on your drink... and pretty cool atmosphere if you want something with a kinda beachy feel to it.

You should call around and see which resturant offers a free birthday meal.  Where I am from, I know of two that offer free meals on your Birthday---Peking (Chinese) and Cypress Inn (Steak & Seafood).
