I have a hobby for collecting baseball cards, and especially rookie cards. I have a pretty small (it depends) collection of cards of about 750. Some rookie cards that I do have are...

- Josh Hamilton Topps '52 Rookie Card Signed

- Kevin Kouzmanoff Upper Deck Rookie Card "Future Stars" Signed

- Johan Santana Fleer Tradition almost Mint

- Ken Griffey Jr. Topps Rookie Card

- Jake Peavy Topps "50 years" Signed Rookie Card

- Jake Peavy Donruss 2003 Rated Rookie Signed Rookie Card

- Josh Beckett Fleer Tradition Rookie Card

- Julio Franco Donruss '83 Rookie Card

- Todd Helton Pinnacle Inside Rookie Card

- Roger Clemens Topps Rookie Card

- Manny Ramirez Upper Deck Top Prospect 92 Rookie Card

- Ryan Braun Bowman Rookie Card

And those are like my most prized card. I guess my question is what are some cards that I should add to my collection? Like what rookie cards are must-buys? I always am adding more..I'm open to any ideas. Also, I would like to buy Tim Hudson rookie card, Thome Rookie Card, Randy Johnson Rookie Card, and I'm going to a signing at my local mall to get an in-person signed Mike Schmidt ball. Then THAT will be my most prized possession. Can't Wait!

  1. '52 Josh Hamilton LOL. I'll bet his parents weren't even born in 1952. I guess there must be a set that looks like the '52 topps set with current players.

I haven't collected cards for a while, but if I still did, I would want an Albert Pujols rookie card. I have been a baseball fan for a long time and have been to over 25 different big league ballparks since 1964 and Albert is the best hitter I have ever seen.

I don't have many autographs, but probably my best one is a scorecard signed by Rick Ankiel from his first win as a pitcher.

  2. u must like the braves if u want a hudson rookie, he sucks. but i got a similar collection, like a braun, a prince, a ben sheets, and a CC (rookies) are my favs though, i got francisco rodrigez, A-ROD, jeter, pujols, liriano, 3 glavine's (all rookies) u should get some of the newer guys like me, so u get them cheap and they grow in value

and when it comes to autographed balls, i got randy johnson, mariano rivera and derek jeter to sign one when they were all with the yanks together

  3. $92,847 worth of cards.
