I've looked at a few books already, like the official study guide at the College Board, but I was wondering what helped some of you guys out when studying for the test.

Or Subject Tests, too, because I'll be taking a few of those as well.

  1. well what i did after school.. I just started taking classes for SAT to get high score.. that's it.. its better to get classes rather then preparing at home..ok see you've no idea what kind of question they gonna give you ? or do you?

well if you gonna take classes .. it will help ya a loot.. they've all stuff.

  2. The College Board's, Official Study Guide, the one you mentioned, is pretty indispensible when it comes to SAT preparation.  I would also heavily recommend The Princeton Review's Cracking the SAT for both the reasoning test and the subject tests.  If you're looking into the ACT, which I also recommend that you take, The Real ACT Guide is very good (it's the only one I used, and I got a 36 composite score).  And finally, there's good, free subject test help at www.sparknotes.com.

  3. On-line resources for you to look at and they're FREE.

    SAT and ACT preparation links:

While the SAT and ACT are very different tests, they both fulfill the same role in the admissions process. The SAT and ACT are designed to provide college admissions officers with two things: a predictor of first-year academic achievement in college, and a common yardstick to use in comparing students from a wide range of educational backgrounds.
