I have a Nikon Coopix S550 camera. I'm planning on getting an SDHC memory card for it, but I'm not sure which to get. How much memory should it have? I really want the one with either 4GB or 8GB.

Please tell me which brand I should get and how much memory. Thanks!

  2. As long as you do not buy your card on the Internet, your chances of getting a fake card is minimal.

There are many different brands of memory cards, some of which you are familiar (Lexar, San Disk, Kingston, Kodak, Sony, Olympus, etc) and others that are well known in the memory business, but for supplying the RAM in your computer like A-Data, Transcend, PQI and others).  If you buy them in a reputable electronics store, you can depend upon them to do what they were designed to do.

There is not a good reason to accumulate so many images on one card.  If you buy a couple of 2GB cards and then at the end of your shooting day, copy them all to your computer, format the card and recharge your batteries and there you have it.
