I'm entering Grade 11 soon, and am supposed to be taking biology and chemistry. However, I'm a little hesitant about taking chemistry. Last year I did terribly, completely my own fault. I lost all of my labs, which takes away from quite a bit of my mark in Grade 11, since you need all of your labs for the IB program. The teacher and I do not get along at all, and if I decided to take chemistry, I'd have to redo all my labs to manage a good mark. This would take a ton of time, and I'm already taking extra courses!
I have the option of switching to physics. It would start from the beginning, so I could have a fresh start. I have spoken to some people who think that chemistry is more important, but I am not planning on going into sciences at all after school (the only science I would consider is engineering), so how much do you think it would matter? Does it seem like I'm just taking the easy way out?
