I'll be in Aruba in late April. I'll be staying at the Radisson, what should I do? Any food recommendations? Will the weather be super hot?

  1. As far as things to do there are lots of water sports accessible from the beach, windsurfing is a short walk, wakeboarding, waterskiing, tubing etc... are available from all the booths along the beach.

I highly recommend the full-day tour at DePalm Island where you can snorkel and see blue parrot fish. Purchase fish food before you go (they have some in the Holiday Inn store for $5.00 - its $11.00 on DePalm Island). The fish will follow you around as you snorkel, really incredible.

  2. For at least one day rent a Jeep. Drive down to San Nicolas and get the shrimp at Charlie's Bar.

Travel along the coast on the "shell and gravel" roads. Take a camera, it is breath-taking!

I also recommend Racho Notorios if you would like to go horseback riding. It's reasonable, the horses are clean and good..they have some interesting trails.

You can do as much or as little as you want in Aruba!

  3. Weather is always 85-90 degrees.  It doesn't fee hot because of the constant trade winds.  Make sure you take something to keep your hair from blowing into your face.

  4. I go to islands to bask in the sun, lay in the water and snorkel-- drink at sunset and watch the show and then swim in the pool and jacuzzi at night before hitting the evening entertainment....Aruba is like a little New York City-- you can take the entertaining 'DUCK BUS" and everybody is buzzed on the bus and it goes from bar to bar....but it's your VACA so do what you want-- sunbathe- get a massage-- take a tour-- you absolutely must see the opposite side of the island with the overhead rock with water flowing throughit-- great for pix's...if you're a little drunk DO NOT TAKE THE PADDLE BOATS OUT....we did, there is a tide and I never thought we could get back into shore.....don't miss the glass bottom boat...awesome and if you like snorkeling, go for it....oh- I got $50 shells- you know, the huge conch shells- white right on the beach....like 4 in a row... and I didn't even have to look for them...........take me, please, take me............

  5. THE WEATHER IS HOT HEAR IN ARUBA BUT WE HAVE A LOT OF WIND AND YOU SHOULD EAT FISH IN ARUBA BECAUSE WE ALWAYS HAVE FRESH FISH

  6. Radisson, imo, the best resort on the island. Weather will be terrific as well.
