Question:

What Should I Do? (Schedule Problems)?

Alright. It's been three weeks or so since my work (Taco Bell) decided to go through with my transfer from one store to another. Turns out that not only the transfer failed, but the schedule I had...is gone and has never returned. I've been trying to get a hold of my manager and the result is almost always "We don't have any hours...but you could call in every day and see if anyone called in". The problem is that I can't afford to do this. My boyfriend and parents are telling me to quit and find something better, but other than working at Taco Bell, I have no work experience. So the question stands, What Should I Do?

  1. call in each day and see if there is work..................

on days when there aren't any work on applying for other jobs.

there will be a lot of turnover at Taco Bell and most other restaurants over the next month to 6 weeks as schools start back in session and there will be hours available for you soon.

  2. I wouldn't just quit now but would start looking for another job.  You have Taco Bell as work experience to put on your application.  In the meantime keep calling in daily to see if they can use you.

  3. They are trying to force you out and yes, I would just go get another job

    Subway

    Pizza Hut

    Braum's

    McDonalds

    Burger King

    The mall

    Leasing Apartments

    Grocery stores

    Target will all hire you

Remember you had zero experience when you went to work at Taco Bell and they hired you

Now you have one job as experience and they aren't going to call for a ref w/ taco bell because you are still there so go get another job, give notice and leave - you don't even have to give 2 weeks since they aren't scheduling you

    all of these places hire
