What Should I Expect After the Removal of My Braces?

Will I actually notice a difference? My mother said that when her friend had her braces removed, there was a noticeable change. She said her lips were fuller, and her jaw, chin, and cheekbones were more prominent. I don't see how the removal can cause such a change, so is this what to expect?

Not necessarily, some people notice that they're lips and/or cheeks are thinner because the braces have been pushing them out, so when the braces come off they are flatter and thinner looking.

Really, the only major difference should be your teeth are straighter.

definitely!  all you will do is run your tongue on your teeth because they are so smooth and you are used to the braces being on! Thats what i did when i got mine off! and i noticed that my lips were fuller like your mom said! oh and no more cuts in your mouth that is a bonus!!

yee cause braces pop out so some of your skin also popped out with it, now it will go back to its regular shape, and having no braces on your teeth will look and feel diffrent for a few days.. And keep your reatianrs on 24/7 trust me i didnt and their just messed up now LOL

I recently got my braces off a couple months ago and my smile has changed so much, for the better. my teeth now are perfect white and straight that's what's to expect after the braces come off!
