What Should I Name My New Palomino Mare....?

Hello!

I just bought a new Palomino mare! And i need soem names for her! I will be doing Show Jumping and 3-Day Eventing (first day-dressage, second day- cross country jumping, third day- show jumping)

Heres some info about her:

so do you need a barn name or a show name or both?

your horse is BEAUTIFUL. She is a great looking horse.

i always seem to lean towards names that have to do with their color for palominos and greys for some reason.

Belle or Bella DEFINETLY and since she is a little tempermental name her Belle or Beast as a show name or...Beauty and the Beast, Annabelle Lee, Bella Donna, or Be My Valentine (sp?) hehehe she is a beautiful mare and needs a very pretty name :) good luck with her.

I like the other persons suggestion of Morning Glory too:) I still like Bella for her too xD I think it means pretty in Latin...I know it means pretty in some language ^^

Roy Rogers' palamino was named Trigger. Since you are raising your little girl to be a jumper maybe you should take the 'r' out and name her Tigger, because Tigger's are wonderful things! :)

You could call her Tilo (tee - lo).  It means sesame seed, which is her color if she's a palomino.  Or Sunny, Buttercup, Goldie, or Daisy.  Hope this helps!!

How about Isabella, since she is a palomino?



There is a story here, In the Middle ages Queen Isabella of Spain loved palomino horses and encouraged their breeding. She also gave some to Cortes to take to the Americas. Cortes gave some to Juan de Palomino, which is why they are called palomino's. But the horses are still often called Ysabellas in Spain.

Plus I think it is a very pretty name.
