Question:

What Should I Wear To My Job Interview?

This is my first professional job interview. I am applying for an entry level sales position. I was planning on wearing a nice/fashionable ivory cotton blouse, black pants and some black high heels. Is that professional enough? I don't have a suit. I also have no idea how to do my hair for this interview. Any tips? Thanks :)

  1. Even if you don't have a suit, you can get a "suit look" with a non-matching jacket or cardigan sweater. Wear subdued makeup and earrings. Hair should be well-groomed--if it is very long, you might want to pull it back or put it up. Plain manicure (no outrageously long nails). Remove any facial piercings! No nose rings, or eyebrow studs, or tongue piercings. Make sure everything is neat and clean--make sure shoes are polished/shined.

  2. put your hair in a ponytail and curl it. or you can curl it but not in big rings like wavy and keep it down divide your hair in two pieces and put each piece on one shoulder. good outfit put on a necklace and earrings [if ears are pierced] if not a bracelet. or colored bangles to make you pop. That's professional. They also judge on how u look. good luck!!!

  3. Congratulations on your job interview. Your outfit sounds fashionable and funtionable for the inteview. If you want to go for a more fashionable stand point add bangles or a statement necklace.

    Good Luck!

  4. Your outfit sounds very nice.  I would keep everything very simple.  You want the interviewer to notice you and not be distracted by your appearance.  I'd keep the makeup natural looking.  The hair neat and clean.  No big jewelry and very little or no cologne.  Your best accessory is a big smile.  Good luck!!
