Question:

What Should My New Bookkeeping Company Charge For Services?

I just started a new bookkeeping/accounting company. I do not have any clients yet, but have had people ask me what I charge per hour. I am not sure what the going rate is for the type of experience and education I have. I have an AA in Accounting and an AA in Business Administration. I am also a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor. I have 3 years on-the-job experience. I have quoted from $30 per hour to $40 per hour. Take a look at my website www.assetbookkeepingco.com, it shows what services I offer. Any ideas??

  1. Your rate depends on what the going rate is in your locale.  An introductory rate of $30 to $40 per hour seems reasonable for most parts of the USA.  Once you build up a client base you should be able to raise your rates.

    Hope this helps
