  1. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLis...  Any of these CPU's will slide right into your computer with no problems.  You can upgrade possibly to the new 45nm technology Core2Duo, but that would be a definatly BIOS flash which I don't know if your HP even will allow.  You need to find out if you are running DDR2 and if so what speed you are running.  Others are saying 2gigs of ram, I would go 3gigs.  800mhz DDR2 6400 is about the best value of ram on the market for the performance.   Graphics cards are always a plus but with most graphics upgrades comes power supply changes...  Get ready for a long ride and hang on...

  2. You need to upgrade your ram to about 1GB or 2GB, this will make your programs run alot faster and smother.

  3. vista eats lots of resources

you need a lot,lot,lot,lot,lot,lot,lot,lot,lot,lot,... of RAM

get 2GB ram and try two pentium dual cores

    it shld then run fine

oh and it will work better if u get two 1GB RAMs

  4. increases the memory to 2GB i did my computer runs faster now.buy of eBay you will pick it up cheap brand new memory.

  5. Looks like you need lots and lots of extra RAM. I'd install at least 2GB and you should notice a big difference. 512 is barely enough to start up the machine let alone run anything.

  6. As you are seeing here you need LOTs more memory. We had vista on a pc with 1 gig ram and it still needed an upgrade to 1.5gig. Basically, put in the maximum memory you can afford to. If you can afford to put in 3gig, and the computer can take 3gig, then do it. Only can afford 2 gig, then do that. Don't try to go over 3gig though with 32-bit Vista. Going to 4gig RAM or more would require an upgrade to 64-bit Vista.

  7. add more ram

    http://www.crucial.com/index.aspx?gclid=...

go to that site you will be able to figure out what kinda of ram you need for your computer and it should tell you the max amount

  8. 1. First, run a scandisk or checkdisk. Let Windows fix any errors.

    2. Run a disk cleanup utility...this will flush your temporary internet folder, trash can, temp system files, etc.

    3. Delete any garbage files or data...if possible, run a Duplicate File Finder program........

  9. Ram go to at least 1gig your processor will be slow still but the ram will make a noticeable differance.

  10. I would upgrade the RAM. . At least have 2GB in there for Vista.

I would also upgrade the Video card. (It only has 256 shared vid memory)
