I've recently bought a chilean rose hair spiderling, it hasn't arrived yet but i was just thinking what i should feed it, i've never had tarantulas before and i know that they eat crickets. But aren't crickets a bit big for a spiderling?

  1. get baby crikets i have a rose hair myself all i ever feed her is crickets.  baby crickets are really small so that should be fine.  look up other information on rose hairs on the web.  i found out some cool facts.  you really need to read up on her shedding to because they can do some crazy stuff when they shed their skin.  like flip over on their back.  u also need to know the signs of them shedding because if you try to feed them during this time you could kill your spider.  hope this helps.  good luck.

  2. crickets, once or twice a week depending on the size of the cricket. You get these from pet stores in tubs so you should get some before the spider comes.

  3. You know,Chilean rose hair is a bit of a misnomer. It's Chilean rose tarantula(Grammastola spatulata).Tarantulas don't have hairs, they have bristles made from chitin. The best thing to do is get micro crickets from petstores, alternatively you could try to catch small bugs, moths, insects and even other spiders. The general rule is anything small enough for the spider to overpower.
