  2. hey i surf too im10 and 4'9'' and i have been surfing for 5 years i use a 6'8'' i also have a 7'10'' the waves up here in MA arent that great short boards are for bigger waves and tricks longer boards are more about the ride and they are harder to control i recommend the same sizes that i ride give or take some inches have fun!

  3. try a few DEMO boards 2 find out what ones you should use, you can get a demo board from any good surf shop, if u r a beginner u should be on something fat and stable but as you are more experienced you would probably try find something that will last you a while, i am at the moment on a 4"9.

  4. i would maybe go with something closer to 5'6" or something you can grow into.  figure out how long you will want this board and make sure you take into consideration you will be gaining weight over that time period.  also, because you are riding smaller weaker surf, make sure it is wide (20 inches) and a flatter rocker.

  5. im a kid in florida to but id got to a surf shop and most of them have sizeing charts which tell what size if right for you. but if you live on the west side of florida or tampa side where im at id go for a fish board or short long board style board about 5 ft if you like short boards than maby a thick and wide 5  5.5  footer. if you live on the space coast around coco than a short style 5ft board.  but the best board is the fish good for any riding coditons and riding style.

  6. Your size and weight are not all that important when picking out a board. It depends on your skill. I'de go withs a 5-6 footer. Make sure the rails aren't too thin though. If you really are a great surfer it's ok to go with a sharp nose, but if your not that good yet, go with a rounder nose.Remember to have a leash! Hope I helped, have fun surfing. (I live in florida too, maybe I'll see you out on the waves sometime!!) -Liv

  7. what kinda waves you plan on surfing? sebastians inlet, or your small local break? you want a fish, bat tail, rounded square, for a tail? quad or tri-fin? best go to a surf shop. better to look like a kook and get the rite board. im down in west palm beach, but surf del ray and occaisionally sebastians. depends where you are

  8. 5-2 tri-fin.  Go to inner rhythm surf shop in vero beach fl  They make them there - a custom fit for you -
