  1. Ya Defently listen to batman. I am also a paintball sniper. we call ourselves snipers, because thats our position, its just like front, mid a back in speedball. don't let anyone discourage you.

    As for the set, i would go with the tippmann 98 custom, i have a tippmann sniper and there awesome! lol the sniper sets aren't that great anywhere, so i would go get a 98C, a new barrel, a sight/sightrail, and a new bolt. But snipers need premium paint so leave some money for that.

    Hope I helped

  2. Snipers do NOT exist in Paintball. Everyone has basically the same effective range other than the Flatline's for the Tippmann's. Even with a Flatline barrel, it doesn't make you a sniper. Listen to what the guy above me said.

  3. Here is an awesome looking Tippmann A5 M4 Sniper Gun: http://www.pntball.com/Items/118077616?s...

  4. Here is a link to ALL the info. you could ever want or need on becoming a paintball sniper, including types of markers, camo./ghillie, and field-craft;

    And don't let anyone discourage you!

    A paintball sniper is still a sniper, the range at which they claim their kills IS closer than any other sniper. That doesn't change the fact that you still use specialized equipment, training and field-craft to claim those kills!

    Good Luck and have FUN!

  5. OK JUST NO!

    you cant snipe in paintball, paintballs are round and liquid filled and have awful balistics, and the effective range of a paintball gun isnt over 100 feet at most.

    To answer your question, dont buy a paintball "set" chances are its not going to be that great. As your first gun i would buy a tippmann A-5 or 98 Custom, there very durable and you can customize them to LOOK like a sniper if you really wanted. I would buy a good quality mask, JT makes good masks. A Co2 tank would be the cheapest gas option, 20 oz is a good size. And maybe even a new barrel would help you, a J&J ceramic barrel is great and affordable.
