Question:

What Snowboard Size should i buy?

i'm 5'2" and weigh around 10 lbs. i am just starting to learn tricks and have mostly done freestyle. i do plan on taking park lessons. please no perverted comments, i'm not interested.

  1. you should ask the people where you buy it. but generally when the board’s tail is on the ground the board should reach somewhere between your upper chest and your nose. I also found this formula

    Your height in inches x 2.54 x .9= Board Length

    snowboarding rocks! i love mine.


  2. If your just starting out I would definetly go for a smaller board, I think it should come about to your collarbone, or like an inch down from your chin.

  3. I would start with the formula Econgal posted and then work from there.  A shorter board will turn faster and you will be able to maneuver easier but will be  less stable at higher speed, where as a longer board will be harder to turn and more stable at higher speed.  Usually jib/park boards are shorter than normal and softer than all mountain/all around boards.  You may want to also consider looking as something thats a twin tip board if you plan to learn a lot of tricks switch.

  4. freestyle: shoulders to chin

    slopestyle: chin to nose

  5. probly a 148- 151, but go with 151cm cuz then you will still have some growing room
