What Snowboard To Buy?

Question

What snowboard would you recommend me to buy?

I have been snowboarding for 4 years and I'm pretty good, not amazing, but good.

I don't go on any high jumps, or do any tricks, I only go on little jumps once in a while.

What size also? I'm 5"7, 130 lbs, size 8 feet.

Today is your day!!  Go to whiskeymilita.com and watch for their snowboard deals, you will be able to pick up a SUPER nice deck for a beginner deck price... at 5'7 I would look for a 156 and if you don't jump or spin, get yourself a directional ride...

Don't buy into the whole "Burton hype" - yes they make good boards but they are not the best or the only thing out there.

For sizing I would say about a 149, maybe a little longer if you are still growing. Check out this size calculator that will also give you some suggestions:

What kind of boarding do you do? Backcountry, groomers, park?

Check out Libtech boards. I had an Jamie Lynn which was fantastic on groomers and that sort of thing, but was too stiff for anything else. It had a tendency to "bite back" if you messed up but it was FAST.

You can never really go wrong with Burton boards.

I also rode a Salomon board for a few seasons. I loved that board but I know  some boarders don't like them because they're a ski manufacturer 1st and a snowboard manufacturer second.

Get something that fits your riding style. That's the most important.

my boyfriends really into snowboarding and so are a few of my friends, they all use burton. :) And if they use it then it has to be good. so i would suggest burton.

i luv to snowboard and my sis just got one.. U HAVE TO GET A BURTON BOARD!!! i dont kno which one.. but BURTON is the best brand ever!!!!!!
