The only one I was ever really a fan of is GH, but I no longer even watch that steaming pile of c**p -- I'm just keeping up on the internet until we get a new headwriter and the show stops sucking.  I've heard good things about Y&R, and for a while I was getting into OLTL but I haven't had time to catch up with it lately.

American soaps are totally different. Fake and dramatic although watching the bold and the beautiful can be very entertaining.

General Hospital...I complain a lot but when it comes right down to it, it's the only soap I still watch religiously, so yes, I think GH is the best.

I would say ATWT, but I haven't been happy with them for some time now, so i'll go with Y&R because Victor Newman and his million dollar quotes and chump offs, plus Nick Newman's good looks, never cease to amaze your girl.

Hands down, Y&R! even though people are saying that it is boring now, you still can't help but watch to see what happens next. but it is heading back to its good storying telling days.

I watch (and have watched) all CBS soaps over the course of my life. With school, I have lost interest in "The Young and the Restless" ..although it is a faboulous soap (I just don't have much time for TV during the school year). I was never really interested "The Bold & the Beautiful", and I still don't care for it.

My favorite soap is hands down "As the World Turns" on CBS. I find it cunning, hilarious, and always full of drama. I care for almost all of the actors on there; all are fun to watch and extremely talented. "Guiding Light" is a distant second, and although I dislike how the show is filmed- it has not ruined my intake of the show. Loosing some main characters has lessened my view of how great the show is, but I still find it to be an amazing soap. Marcy Rylan makes up for a lot of the show's mistakes and changes; I still respect GL's formatting decisions.

I have viewed bits and pieces of NBC and ABC soaps. I wasn't interested in them, or knew what was going on. That's probably why I dididn't care for the ones I have seen.
