      practice without rules, in the street rules are for the cars and get violated daily

  3. Women need to take up ANY martial arts Defence class.

  4. Shooting.  If you don't like guns, then krav maga is the best form of self defense.  With krav maga, you will  only learn tactic/moves that will keep you alive on the street.  There are no wasted movements.  None of the "fancy" stuff that only works in the movies.  Krav Maga is very real.

  5. Jiu-Jitsu and Muy Thai is good. Jiu-Jitsu for the ground and Muy Thai for standup. Learning how to attack the family jewels might also help.

  7. Whichever self-defense program provides her with a solid foundation and that gives her confidence and the ability to effectively execute the techniques and skills, that have been taught to her, even when under extreme stress.  

    Not every woman will enjoy kickboxing.  But she might like jujutsu.  Not every woman will enjoy jujutsu.  But she might like Kempo. Not every woman will enjoy . . . .   You get the idea, I hope.

  9. Muay Thai is very good... Depending on how serious your school is it can be one of the most Brutalist Martial Arts
