What Sports Car should i buy for around $5000?

Im looking to buy a sports car of around $5000 I was thinking a 300zx, or a MR2. Any suggestions

if you can, try a classic cars dealer. you usualy can get it for that price maybe a little bit more.

If you get a 300zx for $5,000 it will have plenty of mileage on it already. They are good cars, but when they break down they can get expensive to fix, especially the turbo engines. The MR2, i would skip that one, a pain to repair anything. I mean anything, to get to certain parts of the car you have to remove a bunch of other parts. So if a part stops working, have fun with labor charges if you can't do the work yourself. I would suggest the 97-01 Honda Prelude's, they're sporty, are reliable (especially the manual transmission ones) and it wont be a pain to service.

Personally, I own an audi a4 and i know you could pick one up for around 5k if its a from yrs 96-99. I love the car and its been really good to me. I would rather drive this than a honda prelude. if you want to tune it get the 1.8t version, its a little cheaper and you can mod it. A mr2 is also a great car and I would probably just look for the best deal for you buck. Check out craigslist and ebay! good luck and hope you find something good!

If you want a sports car you need a V8.
