  1. I tend to find the work of various artists acts as a fantastic stimulus for choreographing movement - especially the work of Pablo Picasso, which you could easily access in books within your local library. His images are often distorted and dreamlike - a great stimulus for creating original and unusual material. Give it a go!

You could for example make some moves up high and some down low, change is important and interesting in choreography. If you are choreographing a routine with two people performing, they can both be doing the same dance but one of them does the moves slightly differently, or does a dance move similar to the original but at the same time, different.

Use good costumes, they can help too.

Use your sense of humor, your personality, your creativeness, your imagination and your brain. Make sure the colors of your costumes relate to your choreography, the dance and the song.

Use your moves wisely and carefully.

Hope I helped and good luck.
