I baught a Digital Camera that I want to Return to (Any) Store, and get my Money back.

I actually Won it in a Contest, but I don't like it much. It's a Sony DSC-T300. Awsome Spec's, but I can't get that good of Pictures on it. It's just not my Kind of Camera.

I've only had it for just Over a week. It's still Brand New. I even have the Box & Packaging it came with.

It's 10.1 MegaPixels, and has a 5x Zoom. It has a 3.5" LCD Touth-Screen, and comes with a Lithium-Ion Battery Pack. It Retails for $400 in Most Electronics Stores. It's very Tiny for a Camera.

My Sister's friend has the Same Camera, and Loves it. But I'd rather have a Canon PowerShot SX100 IS, for $250.

If only I had a Receipt. Otherwise, I'd return it, and get my Money back, and get a Canon SX100 IS.

What do you Think I should Do?!?

  1. Any store if you look like I do. When I was a kid my friend would always give me stuff so I could return it for them

  2. I don't think you will be able to get ur money back from a store.    I know Target will give you cash back for a item under 25 dollars but  something what you have ur best bet is to sell it on ebay, craigslist , pennysaver, yardsale? or even a   pond shop.   Good luck!

  3. Take out an ad on craiglist or Ebay and sell it. "get your money back"?? you won it.

  4. Walmart usually doesn't ask for a recipet, but I think they scan the bar code and they'll be able to tell it wasn't bought there.

Why don't you try to sell it on craigslist or ebay?

  5. Why don't you sell it on eBay?

  6. I agree...ebay. Taking it back to (any) store is too risky. You may look like a fool when you show up with a camera that the store you choose doesn't sell.

  7. Why don't you try to learn how to use the camera?  You have only had it a little over a week.  You haven't even given it a chance.

Trying to take it to a store to make money is really dishonest.  You get something for nothing, and want to make money from it....If you must sell it, do as the others have suggested.  But don't make a fool of yourself by trying to take it to a store.

  8. you could always try to return anywhere and tell them the situation.. or you could sellit on craigslist or other sites liek that.. or in the paper

  9. find a store that carries that camera and then return it but all you will get is store credit...or sell it on ebay for cash

  10. Wal-Mart, they would take diapers back with **** in them.

  11. ebay

  12. sell it on ebay or craigslist

  13. sell it on eBay.

    I love my Canon PowerShot!!

I would not recomend returning it to a store, that store would take a loss.  Also, the employee who took it could get in trouble.

edit: ask whom ever you won it from.  See where they got it, and if they have a receipt.  You could tell who ever you won it from that it doesn't take good pictures, but don't insult them for choosing that as a prize.  Tell them you think it's defective, because your sisters is good.

  14. I returned a broken MP3 player to Walmart once and got a new one, aha

  15. in todays age of barcodes, even without a receipt they can scan it when you return it and see that it didnt come from their store.  you might try macys.

  16. advertise in the local news and whatever you get for it is a bonus so dont be greedy set a price that someone will be interested/// as for a shop taking it off you only a secondhand shop will do that at their price
