  1. Tent

    sleeping bag

    pillow

    bug spray

    sun screen

    sweatshirt

    sweatpants

  2. I'd like to see kellie get all her stuff into a rucksack!

  3. Tent

something soft to lay on or air bed ( if you don't have a airbed, then a cheap pool float would work)

    Pillows

blankets or sleeping bag (sheets to cover air bed)

    bug spray

    flash lights

    lanterns

    Plenty to eat and drink

If its camping without running water... bring a bucket to wash in and plenty of jugs of water

    cookware

    utensils

lots of baby wipes ( to keep fresh and clean, you will be glad you brought it, trust me)

    soap

    towels for washing and dishes

    dish soap

    Your personal items

games to keep busy, like cards

    folding chair

It's hot, so...hat if you need it sunglasses and sun screen

  4. I would have thought a tent and a sleeping bag , are a must.

  5. If I am alone, a small bivy tent, two blankets, 50 ft of light rope, and an axe. Instant oatmeal to chew on between meals.

Add my wife, and we need a LOT more! Queen air matress, tent to hold it. Two tarps for shelter over the tent and the table. Propane stove, etc etc etc

  6. sausage and beans

  8. Love the lengthy don't forget a thing list...

Most basics are common sense. Tent, sleeping bag, cooler with food, caned goods, stove for cooking etc...

Keep it simple... and remember these three things...

1 Don't forget the can opener! Matches and lighter!

2 No food in the tent or items that have food on them *** avoid unwanted guests in the tent; ants , squirrels , raccoons , bears! *** trouble with bears is very rare; don t feed them they don t need encouragement, but if they want to eat get out of the way. They have been know-en to make new doors in cars and campers, before raiding the ice box. Keep your site clean and dispose of trash in the designated area. Without food they will avoid your site, and continue their adventure else where.

3 Keep your sense of humour, pack extra sense of humour and deck of cards or games that two or more can play!

Have fun and best of luck!

P.S. Read one or two books on the subject for next years camping adventure! Relax you wont master camping in one trip. It takes a life time and that is what makes it fun and an adventure worth repeating.

  9. Don't forget a solar powered flashlight in case the batteries fail and of course stock up on your dehydrated water pills.

    Seriously:

    flashlight

    water

    matches

    compass

    bug repellent

  10. I promised myself not to make a long list of things for you , like a page a mile long, so here is something that will help you.

    go under camping/campgrounds

  11. It really depends on the type of camping.

Gear lists vary depending on whether its family camping in the luxury RV (which is everything including the kitchen sink) to  Survival camping (which is well, nothing)
