What Sub and Amp????

Question

Right now I got a kenwood 7015 head unit stock speakers and no sub or amp. I will be upgrading the speakers and getting a sub and amp.

What type of sub and amp would be the best for the type for music rap,hiphop and rock. MY BUDGET IS $350 for the sub and amp.

I want something this is gona hit hard but nothing crazy.

Is it true that you can getting different sounds from the sub like just bass or a thump?

GO with kicker subs cause their cheaper and hit the hardest and a medium range amp. I would go with 2 12s with like an 800 watt amp

Go online to Sonicelectronix and get your stuff there.  A JLAudio 10 in the right box with even a small amp would thump the way you are looking for.  I have heard a 6" sub hit harder than a 18" sub.  It is all in box design.  Don't try and impress friends with a 15" sub that sounds like c**p.  I have a JL8W3 sub in my Viper that hits just as hard as a 12" and it is mounted under the dash in the passenger footwell.  Depends on your car and what you want to SHOW to the public.  IMO I would get 2 JL10W3 and have a REAL box built or get a premade from JL and throw a REAL amp at it 500.1 or so would work great.  Any IMO ditch the Kenwood junk....  For mids and highs look into Diamond Audio, nothing like them, beat Focals, beat MB Quarts...
