  1. Many people consider becoming a real estate agent one of the easiest professions to get into. If school is required for your state, it will only take a few months. With persistence and dedication, the small time investment will pay off in the long run as you become a successful real estate agent.

To become a real estate agent, you must obtain a license from the state where you plan to work. Most states require that you have at least a high school diploma to receive your license. There are some states that require the applicant to attend a real estate school prior to taking the test...

  2. Thick Skin

    Gift of the gab

    Balls..t

    ability to lie

no not all of them are like this, just most of them !

  3. well, I would say Art, but as I can see you haven't taken that, you're useless. KO.

Just confidence, a good pitch and an expensive suit is all you need.

  4. I can safely say I gave never in nmy life met anyone who aspired to be an estate agent. Best of luck.

  5. you dont need qualifications.

    all you need is

    a drivers licence

    confidence

    reliable

    inititive

    ability to be persuasive

    patience

and be able to be a good saleman

the hours are sometimes long typically 8am-6:30pm office hours 6 days a week sometimes 7, viewings can be till 8pm.

vendors and tenants can be demanding and you have to have patiance to cope with changing of appointment times and people not turning up.

to start with you will probably work as a junior (if your young) so you may find yourself doing the running around and pay isnt great however this varies depending on where you live (london pay would be better)

there is a myth that estate agents are over paid but this isn't true, unless you own your own buisness, pay is risky some companies go on commision alone, so thats when the pressures on!.

my partner works 57 hours a week, 6 days a week, and his take home pay after tax is £1000 per month (not enough) he's worked in 2 estate agents starting when he was 18 and his first job earnt him £600 per month.

It can be quite a high pressured job and the market isnt great at the moment, my partner is actually leaving the buisness because of it.

the only pro really is a company car.

    goodluck
