Meanwhile, golf critics and renowned writers of the likes of Ryan Ballengee, John Hawkins and Rex Hoggard of Golf Channel have also shared their insightful analysis over the controversial book.
The book “The Big Miss”, written on the life of the former world number one and winner of 14 major titles, has stirred uproar in the sports circles as the book promises an insight into Tiger Woods’ reclusive life.
Haney earlier insisted that the book strictly dwells on the sports related information about his former pupil but the excerpts from the book have a different story to tell.
Hoggard says that the book reveals the breaking point of the Coach-player relationship in the 2010 Masters, where Haney realised that Woods has now inundated in a mess he will never be able to come out of.
Haney writes, “With the cold part of my mind that keeps any sadness momentarily walled off, I make the call. He’s become less of a golfer, and he’s never going to be the same again”.
Hawkins, however, has a different take on Haney’s attempt to disclose some of the secret information about Woods’ personal life.
He says, "As a golf writer, I found this behind-the-curtain peek quite interesting, notably the chaos so prevalent in Tiger’s world, much of it due to fame and injury, and the eggshells everyone seemed to walk on when things weren’t going well".
At the same time, Ballengee criticises Haney for indulging into dirty politics and regards the attempt as an unreasonable way of making quick money.
The writer insists that Haney wanted to be what Jack Grout was to Jack Nicklaus.
He says whatever information has been shared in the book, the true and unedited version of Woods’ private life may never see the light of the day.
Haney is hoping to make huge bucks out of his latest dig at his former pupil and the publishers have already assured the Swing Coach of mammoth returns from the sales.
The book is predicted to hit the Bestseller List within days of its slated release.
