Haney and Woods remained together for a period of eight years where the duo went over to win no fewer than six major titles, apart from several tour wins on both sides of the Atlantic.
Haney decided to part ways with his pupil in 2010 when Woods withdrew from the Players Championship due to Achilles injury.
One of the main reasons of Haney's decision was Woods' falling reputation when he was engulfed with the extramarital revelations and had started to suffer badly both on and off the course.
Dale Lynch, swing coach for Geoff Ogilvy, Aaron Baddeley and Matt Goggin also lashed out at Haney and described his book as a violation of the code of conduct between the player and the coach.
He said, "Within the realm of coaching there are a number of things that are said in confidence. There are things that players discuss with you that are very confidential, how they are thinking, their life outside of golf that should not be written about".
He added, "If it was just about the golf game that would be OK. The golf swing is on public display and I have no problem commenting on that, but nothing that would be personal".
Haney, on number of occasions, have insisted that the book will contain no personal information about his former pupil’s private life.
He went over to state earlier in the year that the book will strictly discuss Woods’ approach towards the sport and nothing else.
With the excerpts pouring in, it is now more than evident that Haney has gone to the extent of discussing Woods’ private life, involving his relation with his former wife Elin Nordegren.
As yet, Woods has not gone to the extent of filing a lawsuit against his former coach.
Haney, on the other hand, has admitted that the publication of the controversial book may render his relation with the former world number one, null and void for the rest of the time.
Woods is currently preparing for the Masters at Augusta National and hopes to bag the title for the fifth time in his grizzled career.
