Woods, as well as his agent Mark Steinberg, have criticised Haney’s decision to publish a book on Woods’ private life and have regarded it as a breach of the code of conduct between the player and the coach.
Haney has gone over to discuss Woods' private life and his intimate moments with his former wife Elin Nordegren. He has also discussed Woods' paranoia of extreme work outs.
Haney also alleges that Woods was contemplating joining the NAVY Seals in his obsession to extreme fitness and physical strength.
Randy Smith, swing coach for Ryan Palmer and Colt Knost has come out with a rather harsh analyses of Haney’s attempt to go public about his pupil’s personal life.
He has regarded it as unethical and immoral.
Smith said, "If there’s something about him and his wife or his kids or his phobias those are out of bounds. There are certain parts you don’t mess with, that would be out of bounds no matter who you were".
"But if you’re giving insight into the person you are teaching there is nothing wrong with that. I don’t think Hank gave any type of tomahawk to Tiger, he simply wanted to write about his time with the best player of all time".
Haney has openly admitted that his relations with the former world number one have been destroyed to the point of no return.
Rather it would be appropriate to say that the two former associates will now be locked in a cold war for the rest of the years.
Woods brought a successful end to his winless streak last week, when he went over to bag the latest edition of Arnold Palmer Invitational on PGA Tour, which some describe as a befitting reply to Haney’s publication.
The win has come at an excellent time when the former world number one is preparing for his fifth green jacket at Augusta National in a week’s time.
He feels he is on top of his form for the moment. He won the title with a whooping five-stroke lead over the Northern Irishman Graeme McDowell.
The book was set to be released on March 27 and the publishers are sure it will hit the bestseller list within days of the slated release.
