Question:

What TV Tuner Card is right for me? (details inside)?

It needs to meet the following requirements:

- Under 110 dollars.

- Doesn't hook up via the red/white/yellow things in the TV (I'm no technological genius, so I might need some help with what they're called) because I may want to record some games I play (which use that cabling system.)

- Will record and show on Computer

- Preferably via USB

- CAN SAVE TO COMPUTER. BIG ONE HERE.

- Preferably doesn't record outside sound.

I was looking at the AVerMedia stuff, and I saw a nice one for 50 dollars, but it didn't have much details on the topic. Any help here?

  1. I would suggest an HDTV tuner card so that you can get digital channels after February 2009.  To save it to your computer, look for one that says it has a Digital Video Recorder (DVR) or Personal Video Recorder (PVR) function.  I have one by WinTV that seems to work just fine.  It was $70.
