i am hoping some of you could recommend me some strings and also that don't shift out of position too easily!

thanks

  1. Luxilon Big Banger ALU 16 Gauge. I am a huge hitter in high school and if you are looking for power and control string that at 56 lbs. for the perfect combination mine did not move for 5 months these fit your description perfectly.

  2. it sounds like your strings are just strung to losely. if you have to keep rearanging them after points. i would go for synthetic. see what is recomended at a sports shop or somewhere you can get it re-strung.

  3. dont listen to the guy who said walmart. that place is the worst place to go for tennis gear. i dont even think they sell strings there.

if you are looking for strings that dont move, then you should seriously check out luxilon strings. theyre polyester strings that are becoming more and more popular on the pro circuit and to recreational players. roger federer uses them too on a hybrid. luxilon strings arent only known for not moving, theyre also seriously awesome game improvers. i use big banger rough 16L, and seriously, i get more spin and power. and because of what its made out of(no one except the company knows), theyre also known for making shots with wooly mammoth swings still go in sometimes. its pretty cool and i love luxilon strings. they also have a reputation for keeping their string tension for a long time.

the downsides though, are that theyre also known for being very stiff and causing or worsening arm problems to those who are sensitive to it. especially on the first day, they are like cardboard, but once the tension sets, you get used to it. i didnt get any arm problems. theyre also a little on the expensive side for strings, different types ranging from 12-20 dollars.

you can find them on tenniswarehouse.com and other websites. or at a store if you live in a big city.

also, if you dont want the risk of arm issues, you could try out prince recoil i guess. i never really used it because i love luxilon strings.

    hope i helped

  4. Another good string is Signum Poly Plasma.  But the best string is Natural Gut.  I use Gut in the mains and Poly Plasma in the crosses.  I really liked Luxilon at first, but after a few weeks, it just dies on me and loses its feel.
