What Tire size fit for my truck?

I have 06 chevy silverado.I'm looking for 22' rims.I looked online rim shop and most web site said i need 305/40/22.I found rims but size is 265/35/22.Both vehicle are same bolt pattern.Do you think these rims are fit?

  2. best to go to a tire store and test fit a tire and wheel set up before buying and not fitting right.. any good tire store coul dhelp tell you what it should take or not

  3. The sizes you have are actually tyre sizes. That said, the 265/35/22 will fit, however, they will be 25mm further away from inner wheel well & suspension components; 15mm further in from bodywork. Speedo will be 7.29% out ie; at 70mph you will actually be doing 64.9mph. This in turn will affect gearing (lower) as well as rpm(higher) = more fuel used. Your economy & odometer will be outta wack to billio....

    305/40/22 ideal rim size should be 10" - 11.5" x 22"

    265/35/22 ideal rim size should be 9" - 10.5" x 22"
