What To Do About Lost Mail?

I sent some important papers and documents plus two money orders off in the main Wednesday. And the person I sent them too hasn't recieved it yet. And I'm worried because I'm out of 80 bucks, and thats going to make certain payments late. I have the tracking number but that's like 30 dollars to find out where they went.

The thing is I sent some stuff off the next day and the person I sent it to got that friday, no issues.

I think I might not have had enough postage on it possible, but if that was the case shouldn't they return the letter to the sender.

The only way to find out for certain is to contact the mailing agency and ask them unfortunately.
