  1. Sadly, like a lot of people, he thought more of material things than he did of his family.

  2. Quite simply a coward........

  3. A very sick individual....

  4. A person in deep despair who has lost his sense of reality. He had lost everything including his respect. There is no logical reason why he should take the lives of his wife and child but I suspect he felt he was saving them from future hardship.

  5. He's  white,  male,  rich.  Also  had  access  to  guns.  Cannot  do  anything  wrong  in  this society's  eyes.

  6. What an a*****e, he should have just killed himself, no loss there. Men like that always kill every member of their families too, like the man in the 1970s who murdered his wife his mother and their four children and got away with it for over twenty years but was finally caught by America's Most Wanted. He had financial problems too but the irony is, his house, a beautiful old mansion, had a ballroom with a ceiling done by Louis Comfort Tiffany worth millions of dollars but he never knew that.

EDIT: To the person who pitied him, pity his wife and child who had nothing to do with this and who were murdered. He made a conscious choice; they had NONE.

  7. I think he was just desperate.  Maybe his wife and daughter didn't know of the extent of his money problems, maybe he thought he couldn't leave them behind to face to music. I don't see him as a beast, I just think the whole thing is incredibly tragic.

  8. human?

  9. either nuts, desperate or a selfish man, a very tragic case indeed, that poor girl, i find it hard to comprehend how anyone could kill their own child yet it happens every day, what is the world coming too ?

  10. I totally agree with you - the words are hard to find.

I just can't get my head round the fact that he killed everything in sight, including his beautiful wife and daughter, then went around setting the fires and then finally shooting himself.

One bullet in his own head would have been enough.

Who knows what was going through his head at the end.

  11. A sick and desperate one.

    To put it politely

  12. one that could not take all the bitching any more......... don't blame him, he has had enough already.

  13. the lowest of the low, a rich man losing his wealth would rather slaughter his family than face it and start again. kill yourself if you are so weak. leave others to define their own destiny. if there is a h**l he is most certainly in it.

  14. a selfish tw*t,he he could`nt have it nobody els would

  15. I agree with Darren e......sad as it is I believe this is the reason he did it....The whole thing I think is tragic..

  16. The rich kind. The kind that was loosing his shirt and wasn't man enough to handle it.

  17. A very selfish weak person . That does not even deserve the title of a man . Who destroyed others because of his own failings . Rather than just kill himself . He acted in judgement and made d**n sure no member of his family would survive his demise , Seems to me he was controlling in everything even to the very end

  18. Why did that t**t kill his family because of his own mistakes?! It made me feel sick and angry, he has his own special place in h**l. It's sad how a man who loves his possessions so much he feels the need to do this.

    What a world.

  19. He is scum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  20. A very troubled man.Not any more.

  21. Why should 'everybody know about this piece of human excrement'?

He got himself into a terrible financial situation.  He felt trapped, and desperate, with no way out of the h**l he had created for himself and his family.  In his own warped sense of logic, he thought it would be better to take them with him than leave them to live with his failure.

This is not a unique case.  Plenty of men have done the exact same thing for similar kinds of reasons.  It's pitiful, sad, and an unpleasant story, and I feel very sorry for the family.  If only he had got some help and found another solution, but sometimes under that amount of stress, logic and reason goes out of the window.

It's a horrible case, yes, but it doesn't quite merit nationwide notoriety.  He's no Ian Brady, or Ian Huntley.  What he did was inexcusable, of course, but not as uncommon as you might think.

  22. he did not want any one to have anything of his so  every thing he had made or brought he destroyed very selfish man

  23. most people on the forum are saying a monster etc etc

however the man had little choice what to do given if as it seems he was going through a breakdown

the stupid judge saying he was a shady individual and meaning he couldnt sell the house saw that there was no way out.

if the house had been sold at the courts demands there would have  been nowhere for the fosters to go

the council will not rehome a millionaire who ballsed up at his own hands.the daughter been under 16 would have ended up in care.the downfall of moving from the status of the house like that would have been a huge downfall and shame. therefore mr foster saw a way out just say goodbye world-you won't hound my family anymore and the house will be ruined.

talking of spectres at the feast--the bank hsbc are already taking action to reclaim the land the bodies were burnt in bevcause there owed a million in mortgage costs--so who are the real bloodthirsty animals getting the money from the death scene???

  24. Greedy, selfish b*****d. I'm more sorry for his daughter than anything.

  25. the police believe he did it they don't know for a fact a man in as much debt as him probably knew people he shouldn't have  known and probably owes as much money to them as he does to th bank ,

He may have killed them , he may have been a very sick man even though we don't know i believe that non of them deserved what happened and my prays are with there family

    xx

  26. An angry control freak.

  27. He was probably mentally sick...in the real sense. He had to have lost his mind completely to have been able to carry out such a ghastly act. No use abusing someone whos snapped like that. i pity him.

  28. A male control freak - and there are plenty of them!
