I know some airlines (like Delta) have language of destination flight attendants on-board to certain international destinations. Can you tell me what other airlines do and are the flight attendants outsourced from outside the U.S.? How does the language program work?

  1. Probably all of them. Do you know any that don't?

  2. Most airlines that fly internationally will have atleast 1 flight attendant who speaks a foreign language. For example, if you were to fly from the US to Germany, there will be atleast 1 flight attendant who speaks German. I had the experience of United Airlines flight from Tokyo to Bangkok. It is a US carrier and the departure and destination city were obviously not in the US so on board there were flight attendants that spoke Japanese, Thai and English. I believe that it is required for those safety annoucements before take off. Some passengers only know a little English and if they did the annoucements all in English there would be safety issues.
