What U.S. cities boarder Vancouver, BC, CA?

They can hardly be called cities but the closest American communities are Point Roberts, Washington and Blaine, Washington.  If you drive about 30 minutes south of the border you will arrive in Bellingham, Washington which is a good size and 20 minutes south of there is Burlington and Mt. Vernon, Washington.  There are no major cities on the US border adjacent to Vancouver which is about 35 miles north of the US/Canadian border

the closest major US city to Vancouver is Seattle.  It's about 200 km from the border.

My niece lives on a farm in Lynden, Washington, next to Bellingham, Washington.  She is only a few miles from the border and drives over to British Colombia for lunch at their favorite Chinese restaurant in the town of Richmond from time to time.  

Frankly, I don't see how she can stand going through the boarder.  Going in is easy but coming back, I thought was rough because lines were so long
