My husband and I came from the Czech republic about 12 years ago. Ever since that , we did everything we could to be able to stay in this country. We have learned the language, raised a child, continued our professional education, worked, paid taxes, filed a case with a immigration lawyer..... Did not get so lucky with trusting to our sponsor, who from beginning of this case knew, that he will be asked to provide his tax refunds for his company. Few years later we were surprised, he was not able to do so, therefore he asked his family member to use his taxes with same company name. That was not good enough for our case and when immigration asked for maybe him showing any assets he could pay me with, all he had to say was: " That's all I can do - I'm done..." That is THE END of our American Dream.... We have tried to call few lawyers, but the only suggestion we got was : Married the U.S. Citizen. My husband and I refused to do so.My opinion is that this is wrong message sending out to the world saying:....if you lie and enter a fake marriage you can stay - versus if you try do this the right way, you may not have a chance.

I don't know how to get over this anger with this person, who is always going to stay here and enjoy this lake house and business, where he don't have to pay his taxes for. For 12 years I had dreams about getting my Green Card... how are we going to celebrate! And every morning when my 7 years old girl saying her Pledge of Allegiance , I'm thinking... this would be me one day The U.S. Citizen.

Instead, I'm waiting to be removed by immigration Judge and just hopping I will have a chance to finish my school and get my diploma, before I have to leave.

  1. I think you have plenty of options still.  who was the looser who sugested you should marry a US citizen, you are already married?????

#1 what kind of work you are in, see if you can get another job with another sponsor, if you are good at what you do that should not be very hard at all.

#2 You are studing right?  get a student visa.

#3 Finally if all else fails, RUUUN, LOL No, legally delay the process (appeal after appeal) until Mc Cain  changes the stupid US laws so that people who are here to help, get their papaers and those who abuse the system are out (if Obama wins you may want to leave because everyones american dreamwill be over then LOL)

Seriously, your case is far from over, pray and ask God for a new sponsor.  I have seen many such cases before, all worked out in the end.

  2. have you filed for a waiver of stay of deportation?

    http://www.jrsimmigration.com/content/ht...

The most common grounds of inadmissibility that can be waived are misrepresentations and criminal convictions. Two examples of misrepresentations that can make you inadmissible are a lie that you told on a visa application or using someone else’s visa or green card to enter the country. You can only qualify for a waiver of a misrepresentation if you have a parent, spouse or child who is either a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident. To actually get the waiver, you need to show that those family members would suffer “extreme hardship” if you were not given your visa or allowed to enter the country legally.

If you have been in the United States for a long time, you might also be eligible to apply for a type of forgiveness called cancellation of removal

there are non-profit groups out there that may be able to help you.and like what was mentioned above, if your story gets out you may find help.

    *edit*

what type of visa did you enter with?

  7. -yawn-

  8. sorry.

    sometimes things are not fair.

many people come from Mexico and work very hard.

only to be caught and deported.

don't read this as a judgment, only as an example.

    sorry.

  9. contact your senator and congressmen. I would contact you local TV stations. You need to go more public to get anything done. Don't just sit there and let them do this to you. It seems that if you go public, someone might come out and help you.
