I'm really looking forward to the Rugby World Cup this September and hope to follow Ireland's group - I'll be living in the US, though. I've looked at the ITV website but they won't be able to show the games on the web to non-UK IP addresses. Anyone know? Thanks!

  1. All World Cup games will be televised on Setanta Sports.

You can order Setanta only thru Direct TV satellite. Cost $11.95 per month.  Lots of Rugby all year long. Just saw US Eagles lose to Munster, Ireland on SUnday 10-6.

  2. It'll be on Setanta Sports. So you'll have to have a connection which provides that channel. Scram 'cause it's almost WC time.

  3. setanta sports or for $1.04 you can download individual matches 24 hours after the match on Rugby World Cup official website, or for $49.99 the full package with extras.

  4. Setanta Sports (available on DirecTV or Dish Network) will carry some of the games live.  Unfortunately, most of the top games (including Quarterfinals, Semi-Finals, Finals, All Blacks, and Wallabies) will be shown on a 24-hour delayed basis.

If seeing the best games live is important, I would suggest either finding them at a local pub, or purchasing an annual subscription to Setanta Broadband for $149, which gives you all the RWC live.  You will also get Six Nations games live, as compared to the tape delay on Setanta Sports channel.

  5. If your Cable or Dish network supports Setanta Sports (as a Premium channel) you can view most of the Rugby World Cup there, or you can find a Setanta PayPerView location. You can see some of the games on basic cable on the VS. Network. VS RWC schedule is here:
