I'm glad you asked, maybe I can help you with my experiences..There are a couple of things to consider, #1 water usage, do you pay a water bill (town or city water)? #2 do you have a septic system or town sewage?  And 3'rd  how many loads of laundry do you do per week?  I live in the country... I have my own well water (I could bottle) and I have a septic system....All the research and miles of driving to actually see these units side by side led me to purchase an "LG" Front Loading Washer.(A Front Loader uses less than1/2 the water a Top Loader does, they spin faster so your clothes come out dryer now your dryer takes less time and energy to dry the laundry IT'S ALL GOOD) There's no other machine out there that is built with the quality and fore/thought that went into this machine... I could go on and on and on...about all the features and the way it is built (like a tank). Remember, Front Loaders are always more expensive than  Top Loaders. If you only have about $400-$500 get a "Kitchen-Aid" Top Loader, . If you can afford the Front Loader, compare the Maytag, GE. Kenmore with the LG ,look at the door hindges,.. feel how easy the k***s turn etc... I think you'll agree that the "LG" is the best "bang for the buck" washer...
