What Water Polo exercises can I do outside of a pool?

I don't have a pool. And I want to join water polo

  1. Definitely throw a ball against a wall. Also, anything that strengthens your legs and arms. It would be best if you did lots of swimming though because your fitness on land doesn't really count for in the water.


  2. medicine balls can come in handy. toss one back and forth to a friend

  3. I used to play and we used to do a few dry land exercises. You can:

    - Throw a ball against a wall and practice catching it with one hand (can be done with a partner)

    - Aim practice, find a target like a tyre or something on the wall and aim to shoot at it. Make a game out of it.

    - Stretch! Being flexible is handy.
