  1. Besides being fined, they can arrest you.  Just go and when asked say you hate everyone and trust no one and of course that guy looks guilty...if he wasn't he wouldn't be here now would he.....that usually gets you sent home.

  2. Here in LA the computerized system has gotten pretty good so they guarantee to follow up and fine you now.  Here it's 10K at least that's what they advertised on the warning I got.

I wound up participating in a frivolous medical lawsuit brought by a Mexican illegal alien.  It pretty much confirmed all my preconceptions about the system.

Illegals are crushing the system and the system is stupid for not financially going after frivolous lawsuits.

  3. You will be fined and a bench warrant placed for you. If you have a valid reason for not wanting to go, they may excuse you. I was excused for my school schedule (it was my 3rd time being called in 18 months)

  4. Because you are a US citizen, it is your duty to serve on a jury.  Turn the tables, what if you end up on trial for some reason or another, it is more profitable for you to have a trial by jury and you can't get one, because no one wants to give of their time.  Treat others the way you want to be treated.

  5. You could easily be arrested AND fined.

You can always ask them a summary of the case and pick one of these excuses...

    good excuses:

you were held at gunpoint and will be biased against the shooter

you are (your race here) and are biased against the other race

you were raped and would be biased against the rapist

you can always find similarities and find excuses

  6. An innocent person could be convicted and go to jail.

Jury Duty is awesome, its the only thing that stands between us and the over zealous prosecution!

Go participate in the greatest legal system this planet has ever known.

  7. You can be arrested for not showing up.  If you really can't make it write a letter explaining why and what hardship it would cause you.   If you are excused you will get a letter from the court.

  8. You could be arrested and have to go to court.

It's not worth is. Try to get out of it.

  9. If you are called for jury duty and are not excused for cause, you can be fined varying amounts, depending on the jurisdiction.  In most cases, you will also be sent to jail. The circumstances are simple: commit a crime, yiou do the time.

And if you do not show up, that is exactly what you deserve.  People who want the privileges of living in a free society and won't do thier part deserve what they get.

  10. You better go.

  11. Just say **** it and see what happens. It's complete bullshit anyway that you "have to" attend jury duty because you are a US citizen. The worst thing that could happen is that you have a warrant issued and have a good reason to leave this piece of **** country forever to avoid prison for not being a sheep! So yes, my answer is simply "**** jury duty, **** it in the ***!"
