What Would Be Fun To Do In Northern Virginia?

I'm traveling to Northern Virginia (near Manassas) with some cousins between the ages of 4-12. We've seen museums in D.C, so that is out of the question. Does anyone know of any big playgrounds, public swimming access lakes, or small amusement parks no farther than an hour away??

You guys would love Shenandoah National Park.  There's so much to do.  Hiking, camping, Ranger Programs, etc.  Lost of fun.

In Manasas there is lots of battle fields also a faboulous water park
