What Would Be a Good Place to Move to?

I've had just about enough. I have lived in Torquay for several years and I'm making the first steps toward moving away by doing some research.

Where would be a good place to live in the UK?

Somewhere with a slightly cheaper cost of living. Not too rough. Some OK nightlife. Friendly people. Somewhere with jobs going. Somewhere with some enthusiasm and zest to it. By the sea or inland is fine, as is city or town I dont mind.

Any suggestions?

  1. Milton  Keynes..Goggle it..

  2. Manchester is good. As you are studying, there are loads of libraries etc as it is a university town. There are also lots of jobs going as they are always building new shops and offices. There is a good night life with plenty of friendly people and if you choose the right areas of Manchester, it is not too rough.

  3. I live in blackpool and i have to say the nightlife is really bussling especially on the weekends when the hen and stag parties come. Blackpool lost its attraction as a family destination and mostly caters for the hen and stag parties. The cost of living is quite cheap here the community although not exactly the friendliest people you will meet can be quite helpful in a situation just stay away from the Mereside, Grange park and layton areas and you will enjoy Blackpool.

  4. Head North...

Lytham St Annes, up on the lancashire coast near Blackpool.

Ideal central position, plenty of job opportunities, Beach, great people and local services.

  5. Wigan, is ok , has great nightlife, also has employment, people are nice, but as for zest I realy think you have to take that with you , its self generating the more you have the more your friends have ,I realy think your Idea of moveing is great try new areas , open mind and all that , go for it and dont spare the hourses.

  6. hi Sam.

i live in Cornwall, and cant wait toescappe too!

My mum lives in Kent, and i would like to live there, coz its so nice!

  7. South wales.  lots of companies are moving call centres to south wales, so theres work to be had there.  cardiff and swansea are pretty lively.  If you go slightly up the valleys from cardiff or newport, the houses are cheaper, and the jobs are still accessible.

    Good luck!

  8. Edinbrugh. Cost of living isn't bad, if you choose a good area then it can be a very nice place to live, I'm very, very sure there will alot of jobs to choose from as it is a very big city.
