What Would Happen to Inuyasha is He ate Chocolate?

So I got a Hershy bar yesterday and my dog was begging for a piece, I break some off but before I can give it to him my mom stops me. She says that chocolate is dangerous to dogs. So I wondered, What Would happen to Inuyasha (Being a Half- Dog Demon) if he ate Chocolate? I never seen him eat some in the show.

Dog demons are not actual dogs.  He'd be OK as long as he doesn't overdo it, same as a normal person.

Chocolate is poisonous to dogs do to a Chemical found in it that humans can digest

If you give him some it can be deadly or give him a bad case of Diarrhea

He doesn't seem to have any problem stealing Kagome's junkfood and eating it. Chocolate would probably be fine. Besides, most dogs wouldn't die from eating one piece of chocolate anyway. It's just not good for them to eat a lot of it because it's unhealthy. You shouldn't give it to them, but it won't kill them if they get some on accident.

Poisoning from chocolate is caused by theobromine, which many animals cannot properly metabolize. For a lethal dose of theobromine a human would have to eat about 22 lbs. of chocolate, and a dog of average size (44 lbs.) would have to eat 1.1 lbs. of chocolate for a lethal dose.



So if InuYasha is half human and half dog demon (and we assume dog demons are equally vulnerable to theobromine), he would only die if he ate  11.6 lbs. of chocolate though he would experience syptoms (nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea) at a lower dose.

inuyasha is a dog deamon but hes also half human so he could eat chocolate and be fine. i wouldnt like to see him eat to much though. even for us too much chocolate makes you feel sick. if he ate like heaps he would simply puke.
