What a better car for drifting?Civic or Evo?

what do u think it'll be my first car.I like both but am still unsure help plz!

if you have that kind of money id go for a mustang cobra its rwd and puts out nearly 400 hp but I love evos and no doubt they can drift but their awd do make it more of a challange but they are fun cars id defenitely take the evo over the civic because it is better for drift turn and straigt line and if you live in a snowy place the evo is your best choice and of course the added attention due to you driving a bada$$ car will be much higher with a evo and cobra because they are much more rare than the civic and did i mention better

No way Jose. Civic will not do.

If you get 500BHP out of the EVO, you might be able to do a four wheel drift. If you are getting a new Evo. There are no parts in the market to get you enough BHP.

A honda civic is front wheel drive and the evo is all-wheel drive.  With front wheel drive, you will be using the e-brake.  This isn't good drift racing mainly because FWD cars have a problem and in many cases, the inability, to accelerate out of a drift which would cause you to keep sliding.

You need a rear wheel drive car for real drifting.  if the evo had (or has) a way to reduce the power going to the front wheels, then you could pull it off. but I am sure you would have to get a suspension upgrade that would favor drift racing if you were to get an AWD vehicle like the EVO or Subaru Impreza WRX.

You may want to look at cars such as the ford mustang, dodge charger, nisssan 350z, mazda miata (mx-5).

You can hunt for older cars such as the Toyota AE86, nissan 240sx, mazda rx-7, toyota supra, etc.
