What a good leg work out?

I am 5'2 and i play volleyball i want to be faster and jump higher.But also look great in shorts!

  1. running, biking, or hiking. they wont just straighten but they will tone your legs and the rest of your body gets a workout too.

  3. Squats and climbing stairs and pushing something heavy around.

  4. Go to STACK magazine and search workouts and exercises that fit your needs. It helps, believe me! You can search workouts and exercises for speed, agility, strength, conditioning, sports skills, and lots of other things that help too!

  5. Squats;  do 50 with no weights, rest 30 seconds, 50 reps, rest 30 secs, 50 reps.  If you aren't feeling the burn, hold 5 lb weights next time.  

    Calve raises:  Stand up. Raise yourself off your heels until you are only using your toes to hold yourself up.  Come back down.  Do 50, 30 sec rest, 50, sec rest, 50.  If you arent feeling the burn on your lower calves and hamstring, hold 5 lb weights again.
