What a good video editor? One that can do a video inset while theres another vid at background? ...?

I was targetting for Power Director 7 but it looks like it can only do "magic" stuff, does it contain effects too like the one stated above? Premiere (Adobe) looks kinda good too.

Are there beter ones out in the market?

I need it to have A LOT of effects to choose from. I dont want the video to get redundant.
