Nevertheless i am not sure which a levels are best in order to achieve my ambition to be a primary school teacher.

  1. take a levels you enjoy!!

trust me, they are not so important. just make sure they will give you enough credits to get to uni, then do a primary BEd course.

i didnt do a levels, but took some time out, and ive just finished a one year access to teaching course which has given me enough credits to come to uni,

my local uni (which is a excellent one for teaching!) said that they like access students more than a level students coz we have a more realistic idea of teaching as we already learn about the curriculum and have practical in class work experience.

but anyway, do what you want at alevel, tho try dont to do the airy fairy stuff like drama, try and get a proper subject in there! and make sure you get work experience in a classroom, my uni wouldnt take you on if you didnt already have work experience!

    good luck!

  2. you need to study science maths and english as main for your a levels then go onto university and study for a degree of your choosen subject the following that you can either go onto studying another year doing your teachers certificate for primary school or you can get a placement while studying so you will be working in a school and they train you while studying for your certifiacte in education.... if you go onto the TDA Web site it will give you more info there hope this helps

  3. The A levels can be anything but you MUST ave GCSE English, Maths and Science.

You seem to have a broad range of A Levels which can only help.

  4. You will need a good working knowledge of Harry Potter books, enjoy watching nothing more mentally demanding than episodes of Friends and an ability to talk to adults as if you are still talking to 7 year olds.

  5. I believe you are talking about daycare, preschool, headstart and etc. You are talking about Early Childhhood Eucation which covers grades Birth-3rd Grade(Primary Grades)

  6. in malaysia, if u graduated from Form 6(age of 18), u will have a higher chance to become a primary teacher or even a high school 1!

  7. I would say that these are a good basis for primary teaching.

if you don't want to do a BEd (teaching degree) you could do a BA or BSc plus a PGCE which would give you more options in the future if you ever decide you do not want to teach.

  8. Its not so much about the a levels you do, its the course you take at university. You should just take the subjects you enjoy and that you are good at for a level and Take the course at uni which allows you teach at primary level.

  9. have a look here for official advice on routes to teaching

    www.tda.gov.uk/recruit.aspx

  10. English and maths i would say are absolutely essential! as a primart teacher you will be teaching them phonics etc so you need to have a good english a-level id say
