What a shame that Street Sense lost..?

Question

Anyone else feel bad about that? Wow, it makes it even tougher that it was so close. Will we ever see a triple crown winner in our lifetimes??

I know nothing about horse racing but myhusband & I just watched it and I wanted either Mint Slewlip or Curlin to win and Curlin won.  I wish I was a betting woman.

I didn't feel bad for Street Sense, I felt bad for Curlin when he tripped out of the gate!

Yes, he hung a bit at the end and got himself caught.  I had a horse do the same thing in a race before, the difference in that race was my horse went head and head with this horse from the gate and on the turn my jock opened up my horse, we looked home free until the horse we thought the jock had put away grinded us out for a nose win.  It's a shame a triple crown chance has been lost because of a lazy horse (Street Sense).  Curlin is very talented and a rematch in the Belmont (questionable whether it will happen) would be awesome.  The two most talented horses we've seen this generation knocking heads.

Yes it is sad, even though I am SO happy that Curlin won!!! I love Curlin, I have been his fan ever sense the Rebel.

But yeah, I feel really sorry for Calvin Borel. It was very close.

At least Street Sense won the Derby and Curlin won the Preakness. So they both won nice races.

And I'm sure that they will both race in the Belmont and one of them will have the chance to win 2 jewls in the Crown.

Well it was a shame that he lost and that this season will not bring a triple crown winner, but if you were betting for curlin #4, you would have made some cash $

What a great race, which matched the record time. I am going to give you two 2yo's who are working out that may be on the Triple Crown trail for 2008 - Hot Bullet and Gazumba.

It takes a very special champion to sweep the series, but there will be another Triple Crown winner by the end of this decade.

I feel so bad about Street Sense's loss! I really wish Curlin would have been one stride back!! But you know stuff like this happens.
